What can I expect from a Stye-And-You Styling Experience?

How many hours does a session take?

Usually a minimum of 3 hours required per each session (except Style Makeover, which takes longer). A wardrobe detox will always depend on how many clothes you have. But rest assured our services could be extended on the day if required.

What kind of budget do I need to have?

We work with all budgets, all brands, stores and boutiques. Spend mainly varies depending on what you are buying and for what occasion/purpose. Whether you are looking for a high street fashion or designer wear we can find you both and mix it up and match with ease. To make the most of the session and our time together we do suggest a budget between AUD 1,000 – AUD 3,000 and more if you want to focus on designer wear. Generally speaking, AW season tends to attract the need for a higher budget due to the nature of fabrics and cuts, while SS less so. But rest assured we always keep your budget in mind and you will not be pressured to spend more than you are comfortable with.

PS: We have established relationships with many leading retail stores who offer amazing retail discounts exclusively to Style-And-You clients. This means that by the end of your personal shopping session, your savings from the fabulous retail store discounts could almost justify the fee paid to have a Personal Stylist!

What's expected of me?

We will ask you to provide some basic information about your age, height and size, your job, lifestyle and pictures of current style as it forms an important part of the styling process. It also helps us to understand your likes and dislikes and your budget parameters. Some clients bring with them a favourite piece of clothing, but we leave this entirely up to each client’s preference. All information provided is kept strictly confidential.

What should I wear?

Items that are easy to take on and off, and comfy shoes, preferably without laces.

Can I bring a friend/spouse?

Of course you can, however they can prove to be more of a distraction. If you are serious about finding your true style and dressing to suit your personality, look to your stylist with a fresh pair of eyes. It’s their expertise you are paying for.

I hate shopping... is it for me?

Most people who say they hate shopping do so because they can never find anything to suit them.  They go from shop to shop, trying on item after item that don’t suit them. Well, that’s what we’re here for – to help you take the hard work out of shopping and find you outfits that suit your body shape, colouring, style and budget.

Do you work for the stores?

Absolutely not! Whilst we’re ready to find you the ‘best buys’ from retail stores, rest assured we work independently of any direct affiliation with retailers or shopping centres. This give us a greater degree of flexibility in choosing best garments for you and your budget without limiting your choices to purchasing from one particular store over any other. This sets Style-And-You well apart from FREE stylists employed by department stores, boutiques or a particular brand, who focus on their own merchandise.

Do you work at weekends?

We understand that our clients are busy professionals and therefore offer our weekend and public holiday appointments at no extra charge.

Payment Options

We accept payments via Paypal, bank transfers, cash, cheques or credit cards. Payment is always expected before services are provided. If paying by cheques, we will schedule your appointment as soon as the payment clears. Our services could be extended on the day if required, with the remaining balance payable on completion of service.

What happens if I need to reschedule/ cancel my appointment?

Please let us know ASAP, if you need to cancel or reschedule, and we’ll do our very best to accommodate you. Please note a cancellation fee of 50% of the session price will apply if you do not provide 48hrs notice, prior to your scheduled appointment.
