2020 TREND UPDATE

As the year progresses, so do the hottest styles and there have been plenty of fresh looks to try this year. Here are my 7 favourite (and wearable!) key trends from AW/20 fashion weeks.

THE WIDE BELT

These thick belts are officially back and everywhere from high-end designers to high street brands. The key to wearing it is to think about proportions.

CREAM COLOUR SLOUCH BOOTS

Sitting just below the knee and crumpled with every step, keep it slouchy with these funky boots. This cream colour can be worn with almost every outfit. Wear it with a white T-shirt OR under a button-down coat OR make them stand out with a black dress OR oversized blazer.

PREPPY

Think schoolboy-chic. Consider a tight OR a loosely tucked sweater into (long) shorts. Combine with high knee boots OR offset by the dainty earrings for a modern look.

EVERYTHING OFF-SHOULDER

Slouch your jacket or coat off the shoulder for an effortless off-duty look. Use layers underneath a cardigan for a modern take on this trend.

WIDE LEG TROUSERS TUCKED INTO BOOTS

Tucking your straight leg trousers into boots puts a funky spin on the classic outfit, and adds a subtle punk twist to your ensemble. Whether you prefer combat to cowboy designs, you can find the perfect fit to match your personality.

FAUX-FUR
Faux-fur is more than just a trend. Its prominence on the runways is symptomatic of the fashion world’s growing environmental awareness. And AW/20 trend proved its versatility.
